Faxhibition - Curation
Faxhibition was an initiative born out of my involvement with The Groop. I had the idea of using faxes to communicate with creative companies in Australia - sending a brief out each week to be replied to and sent back. The idea evolved into an exhibition and as the main driving force behind the idea my role became project manager.
Faxhibition was an art show that consisted of a series of works, inspired by the fax machine, that explore the theme 'The Fax of Life'.
20 artists submitted their works via our 80's thermal paper roll fax machine and were then curated at China Heights Gallery.
As project manager I organised the artists, art directed the communication, sourced the gallery, created the charity element and became a spokesperson responsible for The Groop.
Faxhibition raised $3000 for Médecins Sans Frontières.
