Life the exhibition opened on 1 July, 2011. I organised and curated the show as the debut show under our Heaps Good project.

The premise of the show was to create connection and excitement around Australian art in the UK. 19 Australian artists (shown on flyer) submitted artworks to the brief of a two-colour screenprint exploring the theme of 'life'. One of the colours had to be red, to tie in with our raising of funds and awareness for charity RED.

The Print Club London facilitated the production of the artworks and I rolled up my sleeves for two weeks of intensive screenprinting in Dalston, London.

The show was on for a week at Brick Lane's East Gallery and succeeded in raising £1500 so far for RED, with artworks still selling and on sale here.

I art directed the material for the show. James McNamara created the logotype for 'Life' and the flyer features manipulated detail from Eamo Donnelly's artwork for the show.

Photos of the opening here.

A hand-out flyer for Sydney arts-based night “The Wall”. I was basically asked to use the image, font and logos to create this flyer and I added my own flair in the way of layout and some lighting effects to create a neat little flyer.

A friend was looking to start up a fashion directory/editorial magazine out of Sydney and asked me to mock up a cover for her. The original black and white image used is Ben Sherman, not my own.

Faxhibition was an initiative born out of my involvement with The Groop. I had the idea of using faxes to communicate with creative companies in Australia - sending a brief out each week to be replied to and sent back. The idea evolved into an exhibition and as the main driving force behind the idea my role became project manager.

Faxhibition was an art show that consisted of a series of works, inspired by the fax machine, that explore the theme 'The Fax of Life'.

20 artists submitted their works via our 80's thermal paper roll fax machine and were then curated at China Heights Gallery.

As project manager I organised the artists, art directed the communication, sourced the gallery, created the charity element and became a spokesperson responsible for The Groop.

Faxhibition raised $3000 for Médecins Sans Frontières.

This is a hand-drawn design that got made into a one-colour Ninelifes tee print. The shirt is currrently available in the block blue shown on the right with new colourways being released soon due to the popularity of the design.

This one was designed for an acquaintance who is starting a business in distributing building supplies. The logo combines the acronym for the company into a 'construction'. It is technical and neat and implies precision and reliability. The three logos at the bottom are for stickers, small areas of a truck, or areas of stationery that do not fit the primary version at the top. They are simpler and stand out more for situations common to construction where things get dirty or marred. The primary version is for stationery and official documents and is joined to the full spelling out of the company's name.

I created a series of images relating to letters of the alphabet for a blog I am involved with and got readers to contribute captions relating to that letter. I used old stock photographs and fashioned them into the shape of the letter. These are the better captions that I made into submissions for the Semi-Permanent '09 book.

As a creative exercise of The Groop, we played a game of Chinese whispers. There was a list of members who would in turn pass their own interpretation of what they had been given on to the next person. To see the progression of the whisper, click here.
